The Morning Show Host of Onua TV (Captain Smart), Blessed Godsbrain Smart, has revealed that a notable member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, called and sent him text messages after his team aired the controversial “Agyapade3 document” live on TV.
In a broadcast, Captain Smart, who is renowned for his outspoken nature, pledged to expose the NPP for mishandling Ghana’s economy.
According to him, until the party rectifies the anomalies, he will continue to highlight their failures and hold them accountable.
“What everyone is scared to talk about is what we at Onua TV say with ease. We are the only people who projected the Agyapade3 document on TV. Gabby-Otchere called me twice concerning that but I was unable to answer the call. He then left me a text message and then left me another message on WhatsApp.
“The Agyapade3 document is a topic where people shun away, but I and my team have made it a national interest. The reality is that the country is being destroyed under these people,”he added.
There has been a hullabaloo evolving around the Agyapade3 document in both traditional and social media spaces in Ghana.
It first garnered attention during the time of one of Ghana’s statesmen, Joseph Kwame Kyeretwie Boakye Danquah (J.B Danquah).
The document is alleged to contain a detailed strategy by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) aimed at positioning and maintaining Akyem people at commanding heights in all spheres of the Ghanaian economy.
A section of the populace have claimed that certain ideas and systems implemented by the Akufo-Addo-led government are in line with the book.
However, the NPP has on several occasions refuted these assertions, labeling them as diabolic plans
by certain individuals who are against the Akyem people.
Speaking at the Akyem Abuakwa State Council meeting, Okyenhene Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin stated that the Ofori Panin Fie was more prominent before Akufo-Addo’s tenure and has not accomplished anything exceptional in the past 25 years to set themselves above others.
“We saw this during the period of J.B Danquah and we’re seeing this now. In and around October 2016, about a few months before the election, the same document known as the ‘Akyem Project’ was in circulation. The focus of that was to fan hatred between Okyeman and Asanteman to undermine the electoral efforts of Nana Akufo-Addo. Unfortunately for them, it came too late to the election.”
“This diabolic plan was revised in 2019. In the year 2020 when the Agyapa business became a political issue, the book suddenly metamorphosed into ‘Agyapadie’”.
