Mabel Nunoo, better known by her stage name Abna, has publicly debunked rumors that she sounds like the late Ebony Reigns in a recent interview.
In an exclusive interview with Amansan Krakye on Radio Central’s drive time, the Takoradi-based Songstress insisted that she is not copying the late Dancehall musician Ebony Reigns.
According to her, she is just her own music and it is very wrong for people to say she is copying the late musician when she is not.
She shockingly added that she does not know any song of the Late Ebony Reigns.
She said;
“I don’t sound like Ebony but people saying I sound like her. I’m doing my own thing. Ebony’s style is different and my style is different. We all sing differently but people keep saying we sound the same”
“I’m not following Ebony. I don’t even know how to sing her songs. I don’t listen to her songs. I can’t even sing one of her songs”.
Abna then seized the opportunity to her critics to desist from accusing her of copying Ebony Reigns.
Abna who is now under Original Movement (OM) management is currently touring radio stations in the Western region and Central region with her new single “Envy”.
