The Ghana Education Service (GES), has introduced a new school uniform for the students at the Junior High School (JHS).
The new school uniform according to information available to Fnnewsroom.com will take effect from the beginning of the next academic year.
This means that students will start to wear the new introduced school uniforms somewhere in September/October 2019 when the academic year begins.
The Director-General of the GES, Prof Kwasi Opoku Amankwa announced this at a press conference in Accra on Thursday morning.
Other reforms have seen the GES revise curriculum for primary and pre-schools in the country.
The new curriculum will be from kindergarten to primary six.
In line with implementation, one teacher from each of the country’s districts will undergo training on the new curricula.
The new curriculum is expected to come into force from September 2019.
President Nana Akufo-Addo said the new curriculum is drawn from best practices all over the world and will focus on making Ghanaian children confident, innovative, creative-thinking, digitally-literate, well-rounded and patriotic citizens.
