The presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama is not in rush to name his running mate for the 2020 general elections.
In the latest episode of his popular JohnMahamaLive conversation on Facebook, the former president stated loud and clear that it will be f no use for him to name his running mate when he can’t even outdoor him to the world.
According to him, Ghana is currently fighting novel Coronavirus and it will be very inappropriate for him to go ahead and name a running mate.
Besides, there is a total ban on social gathering including politic rallies which also makes it impossible for him to outdoor his running mate in a colorful ceremony.
He said;
“in the midst of COVID-19, what is the use of naming a running mate you can’t even outdoor him. The president is encouraging all of us to stay at home, that’s not the most opportune time to come out and name your running mate and so we are on track.”
Meanwhile, he has assured Ghanaians that his running mate is someone who is of a high reputation and will make significant progress and prosperity of this country.
