Josep Maria Bartomeu will remain the Barcelona president for at least another few days. That is the conclusion the president has reaced after a meeting held this Monday at the Camp Nou.
According to ‘Marca’ and the other main media outlets, neither the Barca president nor the rest of the board are planning to leave their posts until a decision has been made on whether to hold the vote of no confidence or not.
Barca are waiting to see what the Catalan Government decides on holding the vote on 1st and 2nd November. The club want it to be postponed for health reasons. The Government’s health body could make the decision on Wednesday.
Bartomeu and his team understand that now a state of emergency has been called and the situation is getting even worse, the chance of it being postponed is more likely.
You have to remeber that the Catalan Government are thinking of putting people in lockdown on weekends so those dates would not be viable.
