‘’It’s all from the goodwill of our leader who believes in helping society. We are grateful to him for these kind gestures. He believes in helping the community to grow so we can all grow together.’’ He said.
Speaking about why they chose those 3 orphanages for the donation, Mr Kumah indicated that it was as a result of balloting that they had discovered those 3 orphanages as the most vulnerable within the areas of focus hence the need to support them in such trying times of COVID-19.
He further called on all other companies and corporate bodies to come together to contribute their quota to help their communities as we battle with COVID-19.
‘’I pray that other companies will not just focus on the profit they’ll get but rather focus on the lives of their customers. If the people in the community are not happy, there’s no way they can come and do business with you. So there’s a need for companies to at all times go round the community to find out how they can support their society to reduce the burden on the government.’’ Mr Kumah said.
In his final words, Mr Kumah touched on the effect the COVID-19 has had on their business and why their loyal customers need to adhere to the guidelines and orders from the government in fighting the virus.
‘’Frankly, we have had to close down our fuel business, home appliances and mattresses business as well due to the coronavirus and it’s affecting our revenue generation. However, I want to tell our customers that it is because of them that we exist. We feel their plight in moments like this. We want to plead with them to adhere to the measures put in place by the government. They should wash their hands always and sanitize their hands. Hopefully, all these will be over soon’’ he concluded.
