Ghanaian Parliament has approved a loan agreement facility of 200 Million Dollars to finance the COVID-19 Emergency Preparedness and Response Project.
Kwaku Agyeman Kwarteng, the chairman of the Finance Committee told Parliament on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, that the loan facility will be used to purchase COVID-19 vaccines to help save the lives of Ghanaian citizens.
This, he stressed that individuals who had received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will be able to receive the second dose.
He explained;
“This is within the context that the number of individuals who had received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination in Ghana as of March 2021 is estimated at 475,000 out of the target 17.5 Million people.”
