The Member of Parliament for Abura Asebu Kwamankese on Thursday, 10th September 2020 commissioned a pipe borne and a mechanized water system in Gyandokrom and Nyanfeku Ekroful.
Access to potable drinking water at Gyandokrom has been a perennial challenge as residents trek distances to get water.
The commissioning of pipe borne and a mechanized water system has brought a sigh of relief to these communities.
At Gyandokrom, the people with joy and happiness, blessed and asked God’s guidance and protection for their Member of Parliament as the community will from now enjoy portable drinking water. The MP also donated streetlights for the community.
The Chiefs and Elders of Nyanfeku Ekroful welcomed the MP and his entourage with singing and drumming. After commissioning the water project, Hon. Elvis Morris Donkoh donated thirty (30) bags of cement for the construction of drainage system.
The Obaahemaa of Ekroful, Nana Ekua Bedua expressing her appreciation, thanked Hon. Donkoh and President Akufo-Addo for unprecedented infrastructure development within three (3) and half years and promised to vote and keep them in power to serve AAK with humility.
Addressing the people, Hon. Elvis said that the water projects formed parts of the numerous initiatives that he and the NPP government led by H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo have initiated towards improving the standard of living and alleviating poverty in the constituency.
The MP in conclusion assured the chiefs and elders that in the next few weeks , he will commission and hand over a clinic for the people of Nyanfeku Ekroful and neighbouring communities to access primary health care at their doorstep.
