It appears the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the Ayawaso West Wougon is already conceding ahead of the parliamentary elections.
Ghana is expected to go to the polls on December 7, 2020, for both the presidential and parliamentary elections to elect leaders to stem the affairs of the nation.
However, it is uncertain if the general election will still be conducted because of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus which all the nations of the world are battling.
The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has also placed a ban on all social and public gatherings to include political rallies.
The Electoral Commission headed by Jean Mensa has suspended its intended plan to compile the new voters register ahead of the December polls of the presidential ban on the social gathering.
John Dumelo, an NDC parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wougon seemed not sure if he can beat Hon. Lydia Alhassan, the incumbent MP for the constituency.
Speaking on Kasapa Fm, monitored by Fnn24.com John Dumelo noted that giving up is not an option to him but will keep on trying till he becomes a member of parliament for Ayawaso Wuogon Constituency.
The actor cum politician cited Late Professor John Evans Atta Mills and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as examples of great politicians who didn’t give up when they fail to win a couple of times.
“If you look at the Late Former President John Evans Atta Mills, he lost two times before he won finally. The current President, Akufo-Addo lost two times and won on the third time.
“The fact that you loose am election does not mean you should give up. You have to keep trying and learn from your mistakes and eventually, victory will be yours,” he said.
Clearly, it shows that John Dumelo is already conceding defeat ahead of the elections.
