SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT: LORDINA MAHAMA’S INNOCENCE IN THE DKM MICROFINANCE SAGA
The Nkoranza Youth for Lordina Mahama held a press conference on July 25th, 2024, to clear the former First Lady’s name regarding her alleged involvement in the DKM microfinance issue. They categorically denied ownership or shares in DKM, debunking false propaganda spread by the NPP in 2016.
The group, led by Mustapha Muhammed, highlighted a Bank of Ghana report which exonerates Lordina Mahama of any involvement.
They also exposed the NPP minority caucus’s press conference on February 3, 2016, as a platform for spreading lies and propaganda.
The Nkoranza Youth revealed that:
– The NDC, under John Dramani Mahama’s leadership, initiated processes to refund affected customers’ monies.
– NPP members who spearheaded the propaganda were rewarded with positions and assets.
– Lordina Mahama has never been invited to discuss the issue since the NPP took power in 2017, indicating her innocence.
– Martin Dele, the owner of DKM, was set free and is now financing Dr. Mahamud Bawumia’s campaign.
– 46 people committed suicide due to the loss of their funds in the microfinance.
The Nkoranza Youth emphasized that Lordina Mahama, as the Nkosuorhemaa of Nkoranza traditional area, would never engage in such activities, and her stool name, Nana Akosua Ampoma Frema I, remains untarnished. They urged the public to disregard the false propaganda and recognize Lordina Mahama’s innocence in the DKM microfinance saga.
