Constructing an Effective and All-Encompassing Campaign Team for South Tongu’s NDC
The face, voice, and representative of South Tongu going forward is without a doubt, the man, Maxwell Lukutor Parliamentary Candidate of the NDC. The man has emerged through a dogged pursuit of the MP role over a decade; displaying incredible discipline, resilience and consistency
The constituency’s incumbent MP; Kobena Mensah Woyome (Hon) though remains hugely popular on the ground and holds significant relevance going into the home straight of our campaign for maximum votes for our party’s two candidates (Maxwell Lukutor and John Mahama) come December 7, 2024
This explains why the two top dogs must lead our campaign efforts in the Constituency. The Constituency Executive Committee (CEC) must ensure it extracts maximum capital with its construction of our campaign game plan. I mean, we must build our Campaign Team around the strengths and weaknesses of Hons Lukutor and Woyome
Obviously, there are other big wigs in the Constituency whose following on the ground must be leveraged effectively to maximize our electoral fortunes. The former DCE, Mawuko Eworyi readily comes to mind. Adding Hon Mawuko Eworyi to the list would ensure the Constituency puts together a tripartite gang that can stomp the ground/constituency for maximum impact
It has to be said that, South Tongu is spoiled for choice in terms of the human resources and intellectual firepower necessary to run an effective campaign. The constituency’s vibrant social media activism does explain this. Propping this up with the slew of former parliamentary candidate aspirants, constituency executives, and other prominent party folks, the CEC most surely must feel grateful for the plethora of human resources it has at hand to call upon
One thing is true; the Constituency Campaign Team will not include everyone. That said, the team must reflect a good-faith construction of the Constituency’s power blocks. It must have the nucleus of folks who have done enough over the years to carry the party’s base along in a typical campaign
I dare say that, the Campaign Team must reflect the soul and spirit of the old and the young; our Cadres; men and women; boys and girls, recognised and organised groups, cults, etc must be represented just so the Party’s base can relate to the Campaign Team.
Regardless, all and sundry must ensure they have a skin in the game whether one is included/invited or not. It is a family affair and we would win and sleep soundly when our party wins. Or we would lose and live with the heartache of defeat for four years if our party loses (touch stone!)
So, take it that you are in the Campaign Team by right, whether or not your name or your person’s name is on the list when it is released. And in case you don’t know, the Campaign has started already. So please go out there and Campaign for your beloved party.
The NDC!!!
