The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Zongo Caucus Working Committee has organized a successful orientation and training program for its 16 regional appointees under the leadership of the National Zongo Caucus coordinator, Alhaji Mohammed Mamad (Cole Younger).
The colorful event, held on the 10th and 11th of July, 2024 in Accra at Mensvic Hotel, aimed to equip the appointees with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively discharge their duties for the 2024 victory of the opposition National Democratic Congress.
The 2-day training and orientation program covered various topics, including the party’s history, ideology, and policies, as well as strategies for community engagement, mobilization, and conflict resolution. The appointees also received training on effective communication, leadership, and teamwork.
The event was graced by senior party officials, including the former National Vice Chairman, H.E Alhaji Said Sinare, former Minority leader of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, Hon Muntaka Mubarak, and other members of the party’s leadership. In their remarks, they emphasized the importance of the Zongo Caucus in the party’s structure and commended the appointees for their dedication to the party’s cause.
The NDC Zongo Caucus Working Committee expressed its commitment to supporting the appointees in their roles and ensuring the party’s victory in the upcoming elections.
Speaking at the event, Lawyer Haruna Iddrisu has charged the appointees to work tirelessly to promote the party’s agenda and interests in their respective regions.
The orientation program was attended by regional appointees from across the country, and it marked a significant milestone in the party’s efforts to strengthen its grassroots structure and prepare for the upcoming elections.
H.E Alhaji Said Sinare, National Chairman of the Zongo Caucus Working Committee of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), addressing the appointees urged party members across the country to volunteer as poll police and watchers at polling stations and collation centers. He emphasized that a strong show of support, with 5000 members present at collation centers, would ensure the safety of the ballot boxes and prevent any potential intimidation or violence by military or other security forces.
Alhaji Said Sinare indicated that the NPP is wicked enough to present Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the 2024 Elections.
“Someone who has helped for almost eight years now, in bringing to our country a period of unspeakable misery, economic decline, mass poverty, massive insecurity, monumental job losses, disunity, and injustice.”
A party under whose watch, our country has witnessed a frightening descent into anarchy, multidimensional crises, and economic meltdown must not be allowed to win the elections 2024 due to our cause for that matter, please let go of the personal strifes and work for the 2024 victory of H.E John Dramani Mahama to rescue the suffocating Ghanaians, he said indicating that, Ghanaians won’t forgive the NDC if the party loses the 2024 Elections.
