The National Democratic Congress and their Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, narrowly lost the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections. Some of the NDC gurus like Dan Abodakpi and Benjamin Kumbour have called for answers from the current executives as to why the party has lost two consecutive elections.
A flyer has popped up revealing the timetable for the largest opposition party from this year, 2021 to the next election year, 2024. According to the purported timetable, the National Democratic Congress wants to elect branch executives by May 2022.
The election next Flagbearer of the party will be done in December 2022, that is two clear years ahead of the 7th December, 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections. But, constituency regional and national executives will preceed that.
With this timetable, the National Democratic Congress will give themselves a head start position against arch rivals, New Patriotic Party. The early election of Flagbearer will also give them time to resolve any wranglings that may arise.
Officers who will be responsible for the elections from the branch level up to the national level are Constituency Chairpersons, Regional Chairpersons, Secretaries, National Chairperson, General Secretary and Council of Elders of the Party.
Will the NDC stick with John Dramani Mahama or ought for a totally new face?
