New voters registration: NPP to hit house to house for massive education

As the parliament of Ghana has given the Electoral Commission the green light to start the fresh voters registration exercise slated for 30th June of this year, ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) has hinted of their intention to hit streets and house to house to educate the public on the need to attach importance to the exercise.

The Central Regional Youth Organizer, Paa Kwasi Sackey has therefore called on all polling Station executives, Regional and constituency executives to inform the communities especially NPP activists to partake in the upcoming voters registration exercise.
“We have to prepare our people to make sure that they register so that come December 7th, they can turn up in their numbers to vote for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo as well as NPP parliamentary candidates”, Mr. Sackey stated.

This came to light when the Regional and constituency executives joined the incumbent Member of Parliament(MP) for Gomoa East constituency, Mr. Kojo Asemanyi to meet delegates at all Electoral Areas within the constituency for the MP’s acclamation.
On his part, the MP for Gomoa East, Mr. Asemanyi called for unity among the party activists of the area.
He confidently believed his tremendous work would help the party to increase more votes in the constituency.

According to him, there is no community that he has not done anything and strongly believed his marvelous developmental projects will lead the party to victory in both presidential and parliamentary elections. ” I know I served my constituency well”, he lamented.
