NPP Primaries: Is normal to appreciate delegates, It is not vote buying- Aspirant

In line with the governing New Patriotic Party’s(NPP) parliamentary primaries slated for 20th June this year, an aspiring parliamentary candidate for the NPP in the Mfantseman constituency, Mr. James Korsah Brown has hinted that in politics, it is normal to appreciate people especially delegates by giving them money as transportation fares and will not call that vote buying.

According to him, delegates are traveling distance to come and vote so there is the need to show appreciation.”I don’t want the phenomenon to be like politicians are buying delegates and I don’t believe any human being can be bought but you can only appreciate their good work ” Mr. Korsah observed.

Briefing the media at his residency, Mr. Korsah Brown underscored that, his competition is not with the incumbent Member of Parliament(MP) for the Area, Ekow Kwansah Hayford but to eliminate poverty in Mfantseman through Industrialization.
He made mention that Central Region is one of the poorest regions in Ghana and Mfantseman constituency is the largest constituency within the region, hence there is high rate of poverty in Mfantseman.

“I want to come to use my expertise, contact, brand and support the society to create jobs to eliminate poverty. I want to see people working, making money and living life” Mr. Korsah Brown stated.
Mr. Korsah Brown expresse worry about the spate of youth unemployment in Mfantseman which has resulted in almost all the youth in the area running to big cities to earn greener gestures.

According to the aspirant, he is well positioned to take the Mfantseman seat and increase the vote margin to make sure that Mfantseman becomes one of the constituencies that people actually mention and make references.
