Painter Murders 69-Year-Old Evangelist After Seeing Over 2 Million Naira In Her Account

A Nigerian painter identified as Niyi Abegunde has been apprehended by the Osun Police Command for allegedly killing a 69-year-old evangelist, Grace Ajibola, after seeing over 2 million naira in her account when she sent him to withdraw for her at the ATM.

Grace Ajibola who was an evangelist at the Christ Apostolic Church(CAC), Oke Imole, Agbeni, Ibadan, was murdered in her home at Johnson Awe area of Oluyole Estate.

Reports say that Nyi Abegunde has been running errands for her and he became a regular face in her house.

The deceased used to send him on errands with her car and sometimes attend the monthly vigils she used to organize.

On Tuesday, March 17, 2020, Grace sent him to withdraw some cash from her bank account using the ATM, Niyi decided to check her balance and realized there was more than 2 million naira in the account.

He later went to her apartment and strangled her to death making away with her ATM and some valuable items.
