Media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah, has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to confront the intentional spreading of misinformation to tarnish John Dramani Mahama’s reputation by the New Patriotic Party.

In a video posted by Nana Aba Anamoah on her X page, the president discussed the deliberate dissemination of false and inaccurate information about his health, spouse, and history leading up to the 2008 elections and thereafter.

As per the president, he was charged with drug trafficking and killing his former spouse, among other crimes, by individuals from the opposition to raise uncertainties on his capability to fulfil his duties if chosen as Ghana’s president.

Challenging the president’s claims, Nana Aba Anamoah urged him to reveal how the NPP has also been spreading untrue stories about the NDC’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama.

Her tweet read, “The President just detailed how fake, scandalous stories were shared about him in previous & upcoming elections by the opposition. It would have been nice to add how his party’s machinery also widely spreads wild false stories about John Mahama. That’s fair.”
