Hardcore rapper Yaa Pono has finally let lose on why he is not making waves despite being tagged one of the hardest rappers in Ghana.
Coming up, Yaa Pono was part of a group of young hungry rappers from Tema who were dropping freestyles back to back and making the rap scene interesting.
Sarkodie has been the most successful rapper among them while the likes is Dr. Cryme, Yaa Pono enjoyed the fame. Dr. Cryme was smart to switch to commercial songs where he gave Ghanaians some bangers. Yaa Pono recently released a banger with Stonebwoy titled “Obia Wo ne Master” which has help him receive some awards as well. But he is known as one of the hardest rappers in the country when it comes to beef.
After Sarkodie released “BRAG” this 10th May, Yaa Pono has come out to post on social media that;
“One day a group of ppl sat and planned to degrade and downplay every hard rapper and tame them to worship one .but it won’t work till the moon lost in the night”
Though nobody knows who he was targeting at but it seems he want to go after Sarkodie. Yaa Pono continued dropping mixtapes and freestyles when Sarkodie was busily building his brand few years back.
Yaa Pono allowed Opanka and others to make the rap scene very interesting some years back so why is trying to blame others for his failure to be considered one of the best in the country.
With his talent, it is sad to know that Yaa Pono will not make it into a top 10 rapper list in Ghana.
But is Yaa Pono right to blame someone or there is something we don’t know?
