Respected and amiable former Black Stars Captain Stephen Appiah has reportedly declared his intention to go into politics.
Stephen Appiah’s first shot at politics will be to contest the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency seat but as an independent candidate.
Spokesperson of the Ayew Family, Fifi Tackey confirmed in a tweet that the football icon will contest as an independent candidate.
The seat is also being contested by NDC Parliamentary Candidate John Dumelo who failed on his first attempt to unseat incumbent MP Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
